Social Network: MOOC User Action Dataset

Description

The MOOC User Action dataset represents user behavior on a popular MOOC platform. Each action has attributes and a timestamp, and a binary label indicating whether the user exited the course after the action (i.e., whether the action was the user's final one).

The dataset was generated as part of a project on advanced user modeling and recommendation systems.

Files

Originally three separate CSV files; they have been merged into a single file.

Columns

• ACTIONID: Unique identifier for each action.
• USERID: Unique identifier for each user.
• TARGETID: Unique identifier for each target activity.
• FEATUREx: Feature values associated with the action (four dimensions, forming a 4‑D feature vector).
• TIMESTAMP: Timestamp of the action measured in seconds from the start.
• LABEL: Binary label indicating whether the student dropped out after the action (1 = dropout, 0 = otherwise).
